About Us

The Organization for Strategic Development in Africa (OSDA) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization committed to advancing sustainable development in underserved African communities. Our areas of focus include social inclusion, education, youth development, social entrepreneurship, intercultural exchange, agriculture, and rural infrastructure projects. Founded in 2011 by a dedicated team, OSDA is legally registered and recognized by Ghana’s Social Welfare Department.

We firmly believe that addressing complex developmental challenges necessitates collaboration. As a result, we actively seek partnerships with like-minded organizations and individuals, both locally and internationally. These partnerships allow us to harness diverse skills, knowledge, networks, and resources, enabling us to co-create impactful and sustainable development initiatives. Together, we can make a significant difference in the communities we serve

Organization for Strategic Development in Africa (OSDA) adheres to a set of guiding principles aimed at fostering action and positive impact:

Youth Development

At the core of our programs lies youth development. We recognize that all young individuals require an enabling environment for positive growth. Through cultural exchanges, volunteerism, and knowledge transfer initiatives, we empower youth to navigate the complexities of the contemporary world strategically.

Local Decision-Making

We recognize the intellectual capacities of local communities. In matters directly affecting their livelihoods, their input and decision-making are essential.

Empowerment of Communities

We believe that communities and individuals should actively identify their own resources, manage their actions, and take charge of developmental endeavors. This philosophy aligns with the proverbial wisdom: 'Teach a man to fish rather than providing him with fish.'

Gender Equality

OSDA firmly believes that women and children play pivotal roles in positive change and social transformation. Equitable distribution of resources and opportunities for both men and women contribute to a just, peaceful, and prosperous society."

Amplifying Voices

OSDA ensures that impoverished communities and women have a platform to voice issues critical to their survival. By empowering them as principal agents for development, we promote inclusivity and equity.
